Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Antigua and Barbuda!

At the eastern end of the Caribbean, east of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, among the Leeward Islands at the north end of the Lesser Antilles chain, is the cluster of islands forming the independent British Commonwealth state of Antigua and Barbuda, comprised of the separate islands of Antigua, Barbuda and Redonda. There is not much going on in Antigua except natural beauty, which is a refreshing change from some of the other casino-laden islands, though there are a few casinos and shopping areas on Antigua, particularly northwest of the town of St. John's in the main hotel and resort district, and in the town of St. John's along Green Bay and Dickenson Bay in St. John's Harbour. Amidst the simple, rural beauty of Antigua an eerie feeling of standing in a deserted paradise, haunted now by its former plantation owners and their slaves, whose descendants benefit from the revenue of visitors, but still remember the past, present now only in the persisting division between the haves and have nots. You will encounter the vestiges of a troubled history of conquest and poverty from Columbus forward, and also experience the curious persistence of paradise in spite of it all, which will stay with you forever. Antigua and Barbuda offer the full range of lodging options, from contemporary hotels to more intimate bed and breakfast inns.
